Copy and paste bubble letters

Type below, then copy the bubble text into Instagram, TikTok, Discord, a game name or a text message.

These are Unicode characters, not images, so they work anywhere text works. Some older phones show black circles as plain letters.

How do you make bubble letters online?

Type your text in the box above the preview, keep the Bubble style selected, choose colors in the Color tab, then press Download PNG. That is the whole process. The steps below show what each part of the bubble letters generator does, so you can go further than the default yellow-and-orange look.

  1. Type your text. Up to 24 characters: a name, a short word, initials or numbers. Short words of three to eight letters give the fattest, roundest bubbles.
  2. Pick colors. In the Color tab, Rainbow gives each letter a different bright color, Pastel mix gives soft pink, peach, mint, sky blue and lilac, and Candy, Ice and Sunset are two-color fades. For full control, choose Custom colors and tick Different color for each letter to set a fill for every letter of a name.
  3. Shape the bubbles. The Effects tab has sliders for Outline, 3D depth, 3D direction, Bounce, Highlights, Shine and Shadow. Set 3D depth to zero for flat bubble letters, turn Bounce down for a straight row, or raise Shine for more sparkles.
  4. Add a scene. The Scene tab puts the letters on a background: Paper, Asphalt, Brick, Night wall, Concrete, Subway. Use your own photo places them on a picture from your phone or computer, and the photo never leaves your device. None keeps the background transparent.
  5. Download. Pick a size and press Download PNG, or choose SVG, Animated GIF (bouncing letters) or Print as a coloring page.

Which download should you pick?

  • Transparent PNG: set Scene to None and Download size to Original HD (2000 px). Drop it onto a photo, video, slide or card design.
  • SVG: vector shapes for Cricut, Silhouette, Illustrator or Inkscape. It scales to any size for vinyl, iron-on shirts and big prints.
  • Sticker 512 × 512: a transparent square sized for WhatsApp and Telegram sticker makers.
  • Animated GIF: the letters bounce in a wave, for chats, Discord and stories.
  • Coloring page: an A4 PNG at 300 dpi with black outlines on white, ready to print and color.

Social sizes (Instagram post, Story / TikTok, profile picture) are in the same Download size menu. Pro (launching soon) adds 4K and 8K PNGs and a commercial license; everything listed above stays free.

Bubble letter font or bubble letter generator?

A bubble letters font only gives you the letter shapes, flat and in one color, and it only shows where the font is installed. A generator builds a finished image: outline, fill, 3D, highlights and spacing that lets the letters overlap. Use a font for text you will keep editing, and the generator when you want the drawn look.

The Bubble style here starts from Titan One, a rounded display typeface released under the SIL Open Font License, which allows commercial use. You do not need to download or install it: the generator does the font work in your browser and turns every letter into outlined shapes. That is why the SVG opens the same on any computer, and why you can paste the PNG into Canva, Google Docs or a school slide without any font missing. If you want Titan One itself to type with, it is free on Google Fonts. Be careful with other "bubble fonts" you find online: many are free for personal use only, which rules out shop signs, merch and anything you sell.

How do copy and paste bubble letters work?

The copy-and-paste tool above does not make an image. It swaps each letter for a Unicode character that already looks like a letter in a circle, such as Ⓐ for A or ⓑ for b, and black circled versions such as 🅐. Because the result is plain text, you can paste it anywhere you type: an Instagram or TikTok bio, a Discord name, a YouTube comment or a text message.

  • What converts: A–Z, a–z and 0–9. Spaces, punctuation and accented letters stay as they are.
  • Black circles are capitals only. Unicode has no lowercase black circled letters, so "cat" becomes 🅒🅐🅣.
  • Where it can fail: some games, banking apps and username fields only accept normal letters and will reject or strip the symbols. Older phones may show empty boxes, and screen readers read each character as "circled letter", so keep it out of anything people need to read aloud.

Unicode text cannot have color, a 3D side or a thick outline. When you want those, download a PNG from the generator and share it as an image instead. For script, gothic, small caps and 23 more copy and paste styles, use the fancy text generator.

Printable bubble letters generator

To print a whole word or name on one page, type it, then press Print as a coloring page. You get an A4 PNG of black outlines on white at 300 dpi; long words switch to landscape so the letters stay big. Print it with "Fit to page" on, which also fits US Letter paper.

Try Happy Birthday or Welcome as a coloring page. If you would rather print one big letter per page, the ready-made alphabet and number PDFs are on printable bubble letters, and ages and digits in the same style are on bubble numbers.

Ideas for the bubble letters name creator

Names and short words work best, because each bubble needs room to puff up. Some things people make with a bubble letters word maker:

  • Name signs: a child's name for a bedroom door, locker or cubby, with a different color for each letter.
  • Birthday decorations: a name plus an age, such as Ava 7, printed for a banner or cake topper. The happy birthday bubble letters page has a free banner.
  • Classroom and party signs: Welcome, Congrats or a class name on a poster.
  • Profile pictures and stickers: initials in the Profile picture or Sticker size.
  • Vinyl decals: the SVG cut on a Cricut for a water bottle, laptop or tumbler.

Ready-made pages for common words, each with a printable outline, are in words in bubble letters, and cuter, rounder versions are on cute bubble letters. To learn to draw the letters yourself, follow the bubble letters guide. For other graffiti styles, such as throw-up, 3D or drip, use the main graffiti generator.

Questions people ask

How do I use generated bubble letters in Canva or Google Slides?

Set Scene to None so the background is transparent, download the PNG at Original HD, then upload it to Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint or Docs as an image. It sits on top of any background and stays sharp when you resize it within normal page sizes. For Illustrator, Inkscape or a cutting machine, use the SVG, which stays crisp at any size.

Can I make bubble letters with a different color for each letter?

Yes, two ways. The Rainbow and Pastel mix color schemes give every letter its own color automatically. For your own choice, pick Custom colors in the Color tab and tick "Different color for each letter", then set a color for each one. The outline and 3D stay the same so the word still looks like one piece.

How do I make flat bubble letters without the 3D shadow?

Open the Effects tab and drag 3D depth to zero, then turn Shadow off. You get flat, round bubble letters with only the outline and fill, which is the look many people want for cutting vinyl or for a clean, simple sign. Turn Highlights down too if you want plain color with no shine.

Can I put bubble letters on my own photo?

Yes. In the Scene tab press "Use your own photo" and pick a picture from your device. The letters sit on top, and you can download the result in any size. The photo is processed in your browser and is not uploaded. Press "Remove photo" to go back to a plain or transparent background.

Why do copy and paste bubble letters show as boxes?

The device or app you pasted into has no font that includes those Unicode characters, so it draws an empty box or a question mark instead. This happens most on older phones and in some games. The circled letters such as Ⓐ are supported more widely than the black ones such as 🅐, so try those first.

Can kids use the bubble letter maker?

Yes. It runs in any browser on a school laptop, tablet or phone, with no chat and nothing to install, and the text kids type stays on the device. Teachers often use it to print name tags, word wall titles and coloring pages with the Print as a coloring page button.
