How to use the graffiti text generator
- Type your text. A name, nickname, initials, a short word or numbers, up to 24 characters. Words of three to eight letters give the boldest result.
- Pick a style. In the Style tab, every card previews your own text, so you can compare bubble, tag, 3D and the rest at a glance.
- Choose colors. The Color tab has 13 color schemes; Rainbow and Pastel mix give every letter its own color. The last swatch, Custom colors, lets you set your own top, bottom and outline colors.
- Fine-tune. Use the Effects tab to change the outline, 3D and drips, and the Scene tab to put your piece on a wall. The shuffle button next to the text box gives a different bounce and different drips.
- Download or share. Choose a size, then download a PNG or an SVG, or press Share to copy a link that opens the generator with your design.
How does the graffiti letters generator work?
It is a drawing engine, not a font picker. Each character you type is converted into vector outlines from an open-licensed display typeface, and the engine then builds the graffiti layers on top: a thick outline, a two-color fill, a 3D block, highlights, sparkles, drips, and a little bounce so the letters do not sit in a stiff row.
The same text in the same style always gives the same result, because the random parts (where drips fall, how far each letter tilts) come from a seed made from your text and style. The shuffle button picks a new seed. Everything runs in your browser on your own device, so there is nothing to install. The letter images in the graffiti alphabet are drawn by the same engine, so what you see there matches what you get here.
Graffiti generator or graffiti font: what is the difference?
A graffiti font is a set of characters you type with in Word, Canva or Photoshop. Each letter always looks the same, and the text only displays correctly where the font is installed. This generator draws a finished piece of artwork from your word, with layered outline, fill, 3D and drips, and exports it as an image or as vector shapes.
That difference shows up when you use the file. The SVG contains outlined paths, not live text, so it opens the same in Illustrator, Inkscape, Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio without installing anything, and it scales to any size for vinyl, stickers or a big print. A font is the better tool when you need text you will keep editing, such as lines on a flyer. If you go that route, check the license: fonts under the SIL Open Font License allow commercial use, while many free graffiti fonts online are for personal use only.
Effects, colors and scenes
The Effects tab starts from the settings of the style you picked. Here is what each control does:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Outline | How thick the line around each letter is. |
| 3D depth | How far the 3D block sticks out. Set it to zero for flat letters. |
| 3D direction | Which way the block points, from 0° to 180°, so the light can come from the left or the right. |
| Drips | How much paint drips from the letters, from none up to twice the style default. |
| Bounce | How much the letters tilt and step up and down. Zero lines them up on a straight baseline. |
| Highlights | White shine strokes on each letter. |
| Shine | Small star sparkles on top of the piece. |
| Shadow | A soft drop shadow under the whole word. |
| Color for each letter | In the Color tab, pick Custom and tick "Different color for each letter" to choose a fill for every letter. |
| Your own photo | In the Scene tab, "Use your own photo" puts your wall or picture behind the letters. The photo stays in your browser. |
Scenes show your graffiti on a background: None, Paper, Asphalt, Brick, Night wall, Concrete, Subway. "None" keeps the background transparent, which is what you want for stickers, overlays and anything you will place on top of another image. The white Coloring page color scheme turns any word into line art you can print and color in.

The SVG looks the same on any computer without installing fonts, because every letter is already a shape. The PNG, SVG, GIF and coloring-page downloads are free; Pro (launching soon) adds the larger sizes, batch ZIP downloads and a commercial license. For ready-made files, the graffiti PNG pack has 30 transparent words, and the graffiti stickers page has printable sticker sheets.

What can you make with a graffiti maker?
Anything that needs a name or a short word in graffiti letters. A transparent PNG drops onto photos, videos and thumbnails, and the SVG cuts cleanly on a vinyl cutter. Some common uses:
- Profile pictures, Story backgrounds and gamer tags.
- Stickers and vinyl decals for laptops, skateboards and water bottles, cut with Cricut or Silhouette.
- Birthday signs, party banners and posters. Numbers work too, so ages and years are easy; see graffiti numbers.
- A reference to copy into your blackbook while you learn to draw the letters by hand.
- Name coloring pages for kids and classrooms; ready-made sheets are on the coloring pages.
- Spray paint stencils. The Stencil style keeps bridges in the letters; see stencil letters.
