About Graffiti Letters
Graffiti Letters is a free graffiti letter generator and a set of guides for people who want to learn lettering. You type a name, pick one of twelve styles, and download real graffiti lettering as a PNG or a vector SVG, with no watermark and nothing to install. Next to the generator are printable alphabets, tracing sheets, coloring pages and step-by-step guides on drawing bubble letters, throw-ups and wildstyle.
Who runs it
The site is built and run by Sadeem, a web developer based in Pakistan. I write the code, make the images and write the guides. I built the site because many "graffiti font" pages either sell fonts that are free for personal use only or show the same flat lettering over and over, and very few of them help a beginner understand how a piece is actually put together: the outline, the 3D side, the highlights, the drips.
I am not a graffiti writer, and I do not claim to be one. The guides stick to what is well documented, the blog posts list their sources, and they are written for people learning on paper, in a sketchbook or on a legal wall.
How the generator works
The generator is a lettering engine I wrote in TypeScript. It runs entirely in your browser: what you type is not sent to a server to be drawn. For each word it does roughly what a writer does on paper:
- Letter shapes. It starts from the outlines of 14 open-licensed fonts, all under the SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0, so the results are safe to use. The full list with license links is on the image license page.
- Building the piece. It merges the letters, adds a thick outline, a 3D side, highlights, shine marks and drips, as separate layers.
- Outlines only. Every export is made of vector paths, not live text, so an SVG opens in Illustrator, Inkscape or a Cricut without the fonts installed.
- Repeatable. Small random touches, such as drip lengths, come from a seed made of your text and style, so the same word always comes out the same.
The letter images, alphabets and coloring pages across this site are made by the same engine, so what you see in a guide is what the generator gives you.
What this domain hosted before
The address graffiti-letters.com is older than this site. From about 2008 to 2024 it hosted a different graffiti letters website. The current site was built from scratch and launched in 2026; none of the old site's text or images were reused. Pages from the old site that people still link to now redirect to the closest new page, for example the old letter style pages go to the graffiti styles overview or the fancy text generator.
What this site tries to do
- Real lettering, not plain fonts. Outlines, 3D, highlights and drips, the way a piece is built.
- Files you can use. Transparent PNGs, social media sizes and pure vector SVGs for print and cutting machines.
- Practice, not vandalism. The guides encourage paper, sketchbooks and legal walls, never painting property without permission.
- Free stays free. The optional Pro plan adds extras such as very large exports and a commercial license; nothing that is free today goes behind it.
How the guides are made
The editorial policy explains how guides are researched, sourced, checked, updated and corrected.
